No Overall Control
All-Out Elections

All 76 seats were up for election in BCP.

As expected, the Conservatives lost a considerable number of seats, starting the day with 35 councillors and ending it with only 12 councillors. Leader of the Council, Cllr Philip Broadhead, only held onto his seat by five votes.

No Overall Control has been declared so a power-sharing agreement will have to be agreed. Unlike in 2019, the Lib Dems will only need one partner in a coalition to lead the council.

The election results were as follows:

Conservative Party – 12

Liberal Democrats – 28

Christchurch Independents – 8

Green Party – 5

Independents – 5

Labour – 11

Poole Engage – 2

Poole People – 5
