Broadland

No Overall Control
All-Out Elections

The Conservatives have lost Broadland District Council to No Overall Control following all-out elections.

The Lib Dems, Labour, and Greens all saw gains, while the Conservatives lost 12 councillors.

The most notable result occurred in Plumstead ward where Green candidate James Harvey ousted the now former Conservative council leader Shaun Vincent.

Despite the result, the Conservatives remain the largest group on the council and any change in administration will be dependent on the Lib Dems, Labour, and the Greens forming an alliance.

After 47 out of 47 seats declared, the composition of the council is as follows:

Conservatives – 21

Liberal Democrats – 14

Labour – 8

Green – 4

Annual Council will take place on 25th May.
