The London Borough of Bromley last held a council election in 2022, with the Conservative Party under Cllr. Colin Smith retaining control despite losing 12 seats.

The current distribution of seats between the parties is as follows:

• Conservatives: 34 seats
• Labour: 12 seats
• Liberal Democrats: 5 seats
• Chislehurst Matters: 3 seats
• Biggin Hill Independents: 2 seats
• Independent: 2 seats
