West Oxfordshire
Elected in Thirds
West Oxfordshire District Council remains in No Overall Control following the local elections.
The Liberal Democrats gained three seats and are now the largest party on the authority, whereas the Conservatives lost three seats.
After making significant gains in several councils across the country, this can be viewed as a disappointing outcome for the Greens who only picked up one seat in West Oxfordshire.
In West Oxfordshire, 17 out of 49 councillors were up for election and the new political composition of the council is as follows:
- Liberal Democrat: 18
- Conservative: 17
- Labour: 10
- Green: 3
- Independents: 1
West Oxfordshire District Council will hold its AGM on Wednesday, 24th May.
